  I asked Preserved Killick; “In which Mr Shakey maybe refering to them things atop the Main mast and Fore, they’d be them wicked vanes, not pendants mind,and one has no business being on the main at all, it aint natural” he said…..

  Ah, indeed old Killick is quite correct. There are vanes on the fore and main masts with the Db logo, however unnatural it is. No pendants of course as ’tis hardly a barque for a post captain never mind a commodore.

  what do you make of the rather sad looking stays and preventers? look like they were put up in a storm during the Dog Watch.

  Pray thee, remind me, why is it called the ‘Dog Watch’?
