Going to head to The Philippines over Chinese New Year with Doris. 8 or 9 days. Just cannot decide where to go. Palawan looks nice, maybe a bit quiet. Boracay - been before, but it rained the whole time. Cebu - never been.
I’m sure there are other places! Bohol?
I fancy a trip up north to see the Banaue rice terraces, then a nice, maybe luxury resort for a bit of beach action.
Any tips?

Cebu is great. Try ‘Plantation Bay’ - nice resort, not too busy and with excellent facilities. I hear the local watering holes outside the resort are pretty scabby though.

Padre Burgos et environs is at the mouth of the outstanding Sogod Bay, Southern Leyte. Plenty of very cheap clean rooms for rent. To get there, fly to Cebu then ferry to Bato then hire a wreck. You can hire a ride for day-trips to Limasawa and Bohol from Padre Burgos too.
Any nice resorts at Padre Burgos ?
