My TV is now past the 7 days where you can take it back without any fuss. It just developed 2 dead pixels. One at the side that you can hardly notice, but one right in the middle. Here is a close-up:

I always wanted a nice 60″ plasma screen for watching my movies but I always dread the dead pixels.
Maybe I had the right idea changing my affections to a projector and screen instead (life-size Jessica Alba? Yes, please!).
yo. i saw that you had the beatmas ‘last christmas’ MP3. it’s actually an entry from last year, but i was wondering if you sitll had it and if you were willing to send it to me. i really want it.
if you could e-mail me about this, it’d be great.

Didn’t think plasmas suffer from dead pixels. Or did you switch to an LCD? What happened to the Phillips plasma monster?
Nope, it’s a plasma. Sold the Philips.
That’s what you get for buying a plasma..should have spent a bit more and got an LCD.
(cough cough..screen burn..cough cough)
LCDs can have dead pixels too!
Anyway, they just called … they will replace it tomorrow. Lovely.
Shaky,
Have you thought of just colouring in the dead pixels with, like, Magic Marker or something?
Cheers,
LT.
That’s exactly what Doris said!
So Doris is like as clever as what I am? Top one.
true , they can…but they don’t suffer from screen burn.
after 3 months use, you’ll have an ATV/TVB/CableTV logo permanently etched into the top corner of your lovely new plasma.
You blank those areas off with post cards and stuff. C’mon this is childs play.
Henry - I know … so I don’t watch those channels. Pretty much just DVDs and downloads with the odd bit of news and sport.
