I mean plane. New plane. I get excited by planes, especially new ones.
New Boeing, the 747-8, launched yesterday. More info on the wiki.

Look at the wings! Look at the engine casings!

Seen the A380 landing in Germany. Truely is gigantic. Man, imagine if that monster crashes….probably isnt going to be pretty.
(havent been able to access wikipedia.org for a month now. please dont tell me the Chi govt has blocked it!!!).
Are the wings really that curvy? Or is it just the angle? The Wikipedia article picture makes them look far more conventional.
I still prefer the a380. Though none of these planes seem so great when sitting in economy for 12 hours.
Good prog on TVB last night about building the A380 - part of an ongoing series I think ( Weds night 8.30 p.m.)
I can’t get wiki here either.
Think Wiki is now blocked in China…..man, why oh why!
are those engine casings for cutting out cookies?
and the wings might do that, most large winged aircraft have bendable wings. like m ost skyscrapers sway, and all.
the engine casing cutouts are apparently for noise reduction.
