Tiger Woods, Michael Jordon, Pele, Michael Schumacher… once in a generation type greatness. I could watch him bowl for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours. If he was a policeman he’d be Morse, a musician he’d be Hendrix, a statesman he’d be Churchill, and yes, if he was food he’d be eternal jam.
In years to come, us 30 somethings will be able to say we saw him at his best. We are very, very lucky.
yeah, I am an Aussie and it has truly been a golden period for our cricket, we will bore our children about it as my father bored me about the great post-war sides, bradman, miller etc, but the standout has been warnee.
when he’s bowling it has been almost impossible to walk past the tele without stopping for an over.
as sport it has everything, skill, courage, daring, and theater.
the good news it will keep going for years, or for as long as his personal life remains a shambles
