Interesting point - why wouldnt he trust those little bananas?!
Do you know that some Thai men do try to stay away from banana trees at night? They believe “Tani”, the ghost that lives in banana trees, would come and take them away…to make them her husbands. It’s one of the most famouse ‘urban legends’ in Thailand. Scary sh*t.
I thought it was something to do with being scared of getting a banana shoved up his arse, but that’s my way of thinking…
So I guess they don’t leave chocolates on the pillow over there then
