the bill

First there were two. Then three. Then four. Then five. Then seven. Then ten. Finally twelve.

It was described initially as being like Rourke’s Drift and later like North Korea vs Portugal in 1966. Will document later, but a picture paints a thousand words ….

  • Who were the 2 wimps drinking ‘Tea’ then?

  • That’s your’s, what about everyone else? And such a class establishment the OCH is too.

  • If I had to guess, I’d say that the tea drinkers were fortifying themselves for the evening ahead.

  • Indeed, the breakfast, tea, first two lagers and the sprite were how Gunther and I started off. There should have been two breakfasts on there.

  • ah, mate, should have told me, I’ve got their bloody VIP card (beer H.H. price + 10% off). Not using it anymore now that I am in Shanghai.

  • At $28 a Carsi-buck, no need for a discount card! Plus one free breakfast – laughing!

  • 100+ for chips!?

  • Giles, thats $105 for 3 (bowls i presume) of chips. I’d be more concered about the spring rolls at $117 although that also says “3″ is that 3 plates or 3 pieces?

  • Guessing that’d be 3 serves ML at $35 each for chips and $39 for the spling lolls.

but I LOVE the 18 (eighteen, count ‘em) Black Sambuccas! Way to go Shaky! Did you ring the bell?

The Liver is EVIL (spell it backwards… but take away the R) and Must Be Destroyed!

  • Re Sambuca – no, that’s the Hey Ya Sambuca rule. If you hear Hey Ya on the jukebox, whoever is nearest the bar at the time orders a sambuca for everyone, not the whole bar though, just us lot.

  • Sorry shaky, think i overdid it with the sprite. And Mia, the 2 mugs of tea are what makes the bill special! Any ‘lout’ can drink 2,300+HKD of booze but only a true English gentelman cricketer and champion fencer can start off with a cup of cha. Shows ultimate discipline. I call it “zhen and the art of leo”.
