Keeping up the Shaky tradition of “lez affaires dez current”, we decided to give you a good and thorough ‘posting’ on the Iraq election. Turnout was better than expected. Leading contender is still leading. Exit polls are strong particularly in the north but lets not overlook the south. Weather expected to be mild to moderate with no rain storms, but the occasional sand storm, particularly in desert areas. So here are the latest exit polls. O.k. we couldnt find the latest polls but if there was a poll on the best pirate puzzle game for ages 4 to 8 then it would be this…Surely not too piratey?
Shaky has left the rock. But not before passing the mantle to Gunther and The Snoop. And here’s the mantle…No we’re not mental…It is a mantle…Once again, not mental its a mantle…Definitely not a shelf.
Right, I’m gone. Nice early start.
Hopefully The Snoop and Gunther will keep you entertained while I’m gone, probably more so than I ever have. God knows what they’ll get up to!
Chok dee guys.

mlccc.
They have arrived.

We ordered 20 of them. HK $180 each. Thanks to The Snoop for sorting.
Apologies for the lack of posts. I’ve been busy and feeling ropey.
Thursday night, met up with The Shandyman for a catch up chat and a few drinks. Good chat. Topics covered included field glasses, bouncy bouncies, cricket umpires and their hand signals, maps and the jump in thinking required for the first person who drew one. Were Stoneage people as intelligent as modern man? The Snoop’s amazing pulling story. An MLCCC trip to India and a motorbike trip from Mumbai to Calcutta. Fartus sum. I had a long conversation with a 41 year old expat lady (great lady) all about living in HK, the Chinese, the Filipinas, Wan Chai, affairs and how many times she had had sex with her husband.
Short but silly night, home by midnight. Why silly? The SMSs the next day:
“I don’t think pints of vodka are such a good idea. I was randy as a goat. Got home and humped the fridge.”
“Neither is paying for the pints of vodka with a $500 and walking off. Egg.”
Friday, stayed in watching A Century Of Flight. I managed to cover The Space Race, Bonus Feature: Helicopters, Fighters and Bombers and The History of Strategic Bombing. Whilst getting noshed. Does it get any better? Plane geekery and oral sex.
In other news, Hemlock has an RSS feed and Conrad speaks.
Right, I have to go into the office and then some holiday prep. I leave tomorrow at 9 am and will be out of town for two weeks. I’m trying to line up a couple of guest bloggers: The Snoop and Gunther! They might give it a whirl.
What’s on Shaky’s iPod at the moment? Find out here.
Talking of tunes, I reckon Hardy’s must be getting bored with me singing There Once Was A Lassy. I plan to sing this next time.
