Slightly better organised than Shandyman, but not much. No money, no el cheapo Airport Express ticket, no dive computer and too much to do at work.
On the way into town this morning, all packed, my dive computer gave up on me. So I called some Suunto service place. 3 days. Er, I leave tonight. OK, 2 hours. Eh?!
Anyway, legged it to the store and he said to come back in 30 mins. What?!
Well not going to complain as long as it’s pressure tested.
Evening flight to Maniloire, should be in some sort of trouble by 10pm I reckon. Solo freestyle tonight, unless I meet Maria, who just called to see where I was. Who is Maria?! El Carpeto Maximo Doris. However, I need to do the recce for the boys arriving on Thursday, so I want to surveil the ‘entertainment’ areas.

“aiya, got something for you from gp but forgot to bring….the traffic really made the trip unenjoyable…..i spent 4 hours stuck in a bus or taxi each day. not to mention the shuttle bus drop us off 1km to the grand stand, it takes 30 min to walk to our seats and 30 min back. the track is very nice, but very poorly organized. you got people selling knock off ferrari flags, tshirts, fake caps right outside the gates. but it’s good to be there to witness the “michael disaster” weekend. have you packed yet?”

Bought the Star Wars Trilogy DVD box set the other day. I asked Doris if she had ever seen Star Wars. No. You fooooooooking what!?
So we watched the three original movies this week. I was studying to see what was new and what was the same. Does the Stormtrooper still hit his head? Yep. Still get to see carpets when the green girl falls into the pit under Jabba The Hut? Yep. More bloopers here.
Anyway, was good to watch them again, but not with Doris. She thought R2-D2 and C-3PO were hilarious. Pissing herself laughing every time they were on screen. That was nothing compared to how much she laughed when Yoda first got on screen. You know, when he’s acting stupid and eating stuff and hitting R2-D2 with his walking stick.
