heroes

A couple of convos re The Long Lunch

“So, are you suited up?”
“Yes, we are meeting heroes today.”

“Ask them when we are going to next win a rugby match.”
“Yes – providing you are close to an exit and believe you can out run the recipient of the question.”
“Better ask Leonard in that case … and make sure you’re out of arms reach!”

I was suited up, but found it difficult to get a taxi this morning. Standing around for 30 mins in a suit enabled me to perfect my Total-Body-Sweating technique, but meant I had to go home to change.

the long lunch

I have a chance of a ticket to this:

Gutted to have missed this:

Hong Kong Disneyland: IT Behind the Magic Kingdom

Noble Coker, Director IT, Hong Kong Disneyland, Coker provided at the Chamber’s June 23 roundtable luncheon an overview of how the Hong Kong Disneyland project is progressing. He also spoke on how IT fits into its development and the role that IT will play in the future operations of Hong Kong’s newest theme park.

Noble Coker!

er, what!?

From a mate:

(PLEASE SING TO A GOSPEL STYLE SONG)

Shaky in the Morning oooooooooooohhhhhhh yooooooooooo

Shaky at tea time ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaa

Shaky before dinner uuuuuuuuummmmmmm hhhhhhhmmmmmm

Shaky with your cocoa yyyyeeeeeeeeeee hhhhhhhheeeeeeeee

Share Shaky with your family oooooohhhh lllaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy

Your Daily Dose of Shaky aaarrrrrrhhh hmmmmmmm Makes your day Complete.

Sorry but this song keeps firing around my head, might have something to do with the african contractors that weren’t paid and our mutual love of the kaiser?
Think it could make the charts……in Malawi maybe….wrongness.

sms jedi mind tricks

Here are a couple of examples of SMS Jedi mind tricks that back-fired a bit.

1. Me

Getting filthy SMS messages for a couple of weeks, from a girl you’ve never met, then asking her age: 40. Reeeeeto!

2. A mate

Initial phone number collection at The Roast on a Sunday in Wan Chai, slightly inebriated. Subsequent meeting for recruitment interview on another Sunday at mate’s apartment. Sober. Turned out she was not the best. “Kodak moments though mate.”

“Well that’s backfired”

another quiet one

After Thursday (football, anguish, late night), the weekend was quiet. I stayed in, geeked and got pissed off. Oh, we did all pop out for lunch at Dan Ryans followed by Troy at the movies. So, nail another man’s wife, be shit at fighting and run away and you get to survive. Pitt is really letting himself go at the age of 40. Onion.

Annoyed. Why?

1. CSS and blockquote bollox.
2. MT 3.0D templates.
3. Spam on MT 3.0D. I didn’t realise how much MTBlacklist was helping me out.
4. PC can ping Mac, Mac cannot ping PC.

However, Wordpress is great. If I could sort out my CSS issues, or be arsed to learn CSS, I’d switch. I do like popup images though and WP doesn’t do that automatically. Maybe I shouldn’t like them.

I’m also loving the Mac. It doesn’t crash when Azureus isn’t running, so I must figure that one out. Still getting used to the command key, but the home/end keys not working is a pain in the ass. What’s going on there?!

some might say, nerd

I took the Digial IQ Test, via, er, I can’t remember.
