From my Scottish ex-boss:
The Webb Ellis trophy came to Farnham rugby club on sat evening so I went down to see it. Then watched the game on the big screen. It was fun watching England getting hammered whilst stood no more than 15yds away from the world cup. Warmed my Scottish heart!
You just can’t trust the Scottish. I’d sent a mail telling him how Scotland had won the plate against the French, congrats, and he comes back with that.
Like the kids in front of us at the 7s. We were umming and arring over who to cheer for in the plate final. After promises from the Scottish kids in front of us that they would support England in the cup final and considering we were just in front of all the French fans, we decided to cheer for the Scots. Shock, the cup final comes around and the frickin Scottish kids are cheering for the Argies. Typical. That’s the last time I ever cheer for Scotland in anything. I said they’d rip us off, but one of the lads was saying we should be bigger than them, they’re a home country etc. Fook that next time.

try telling the welsh and northern irish to do same, and they’d start to gibber some bollocks about some ancient history involving the english and their forefather’s. sad people, this is the 21st century, for crying out loud. now i know why i didn’t even bother about them during the six nations.
I was coming home from work after the French lost to the Scots. There was a bloke with a huge Scottish carpet–uh–rug, or something, and he was waving it in Kowloon Tong.
some french guy went up and said, “something something merde, with margarine,” or something.
The french. So gauche!
or, gouche!
that’s why i never support the scots ever. they’re such a bunch of chippy little bastards. on all the games of rugby i’ve been to the only time i’ve felt physically threatened has been at maurrayfield, and the final straw came in the inaugural 7s world cup there in 1993 when england won the tournament and were roundly booed by the scots as they took the trophy round the stadium. from that moent on i vowed i would never dsupport them at anything so i was cheering loudly for les bleus at the 7s. it also means i am still a happy england rugby fan because we may not have won the grand slam or the 6 nations, but we didn’t win the wooden spoon either!
blackadder summed it up best in blackadder 1 - when told he wouldn’t be able to pass laws over scotland he replied “i wouldn’t pass water over scotland”
