Tomorrow night I’m going to a formal dinner etc. for New Year’s Eve. I didn’t invite Doris, as it was all kinda sorted before we got together and she doesn’t have a dress. That and I’m not sure she’d be comfortable, slightly presumptuous of me I know.
Anyway, I thought she’d be out with her friends, but not many of them are going out, or are doing other things, so she’s asked me if she can come to my place and watch movies until I come home.
Jeeez.

Erm…what if you pull at the party then? Kind of awkward if Doris is there, no?
Sorta in the same boat as you…don’t feel guilty. Christmas party was a “company do”; no women. Christmas Day…a friend’s “family dinner”. New Year’s Eve…”tickets 2 grand a POP”…makes you wonder why I don’t keep ‘em longer than five days. Scrap my advice.

stop being so British, damn what other idiots think get your woman a dress and take her with you.
It’s nothing to do with what others think.
pardon my saying this, but is she actually making you feel guilty? like making you feel horrible throughout the whole time your out at the dinner so that you won’t exactly enjoy it? sorry but as you know i’m female. but i’m not saying this ‘cos i’d done same! on the contrary.
No, she wasn’t.
