From The Guardian comes news of four friends who have visited 10,000 pubs in the UK over 17 years.
A group of four dedicated drinkers today celebrated the 10,000th stop on an epic, 17-year pub crawl across every country of England, Scotland and Wales by sharing an 18 gallon cask of ale.
Good lads, that’s 144 pints, but then:
Up to 20 friends who have accompanied the four men at various times during their alcohol-fuelled odyssey have been invited to help drain the kilderkin donated for today’s celebration.
Mr Hill said: “If nobody comes, we will have to make a special effort to drink it all, but whatever happens I will be there at opening time, let nature take its course and see what happens to me during the day.”
Jeez, if I’d been on the raz every weekend for 17 years, I’d hope more than 20 mates had been out with me and a few of them would turn up for the 18 gallons!
