er, you probably have to have lived in England over the past decade or so to know who it is.
It found me.
I love football. I love the agony of watching England play. I like what the coach has done, so good luck to him.
The part I like is at the bottom, about cash:
“Supermodel Naomi Campbell was shocked at the fuss caused by her parading in fur at a fashion show in 1997, not long after she had been recruited by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The campaign slogan used by the charity - “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” - seemed compromised, but Campbell’s agency Elite said she had only signed up for one anti-fur campaign.”
Reuters had an article today on sleeping posture and personality.
Sleep expert Chris Idzikowski says:
“We are all aware of our body language when we are awake but this is the first time we have been able to see what our subconscious says about us,”
—-8<---snip----8<----
“What’s interesting is that the profile behind the posture is often very different from what we would expect,”
No, what’s interesting is how much money was wasted on this study!
Regardless, me, the freefall:
“The freefall, flat on the tummy with the hands at the sides of the head, is the most unusual position. Only 6.5 percent of people prefer it and they are usually brash and gregarious.”
Brash? No. Gregarious? Depends how big her carpets are. Only joking.
I’m adopted, and when my adoptive parents went down to London Town to pick me up. They were handed a note that simply said “Bottle x times a day, loves his bath and likes to sleep on his tummy”
So Professor Sleep was right when he said:
“… once a sleeping style is adopted it is rarely changed.”
I don’t have anything against Microsoft myself. I love Windows XP. Hasn’t crashed once, but applications sometimes do and I get the ’send error report’ message. I did wonder how many MS get, and how they handle them.
If you were geeking off about this like me, then this is an interesting article.
Thirty billion!!
Here it is, for this Saturday’s Stag Night:
For no other reason than the fact that September 16 is Mexican Independence Day, we will be celebrating Wiggsy’s stag party in Mexican style. Everyone is therefore expected to dress as a Mexican for the evening and drink plenty of Margarita and Daiquiri. Wiggsy will be dressed as Frankenstein for no better reasons than the fact that this was his nickname at school and because he has a ridiculously large forehead.
No half-hearted efforts will be acceptable and there will be Tequila forfeits for the least effort made. Basic requirements are sombreros, ponchos and moustaches. All of these can be bought or hired from ‘Masquerade’, Shop 30 Lower Basement, Luk Hoi Tong Building, 31 Queen’s Road, Central (the building with the cinema in, opposite the Body Shop, next door to Fortress on Queen’s Road). The owner, Tony Mak, has offered to sell sombreros for HK$100 if you mention you are on the stag party and a 20% discount for any other items. They are only open Mon-Fri until 7pm but you can call him on 2529 5921 if you need him to open later.
THE PLAN - roughly
7pm meet in Agave (33 D’Aguilar Street, Lan Kwai Fong). The owner has agreed a discounted rate of HK$3,000 for 12 jugs of strong Margarita and will provide free Mexican snacks for any southerners (we’ll collect a kitty for this when we arrive but it should only be a couple of hundred bucks each).
8pm move to La Bodega (42 D’Aguilar Street, Lan Kwai Fong) as it looks Mexican enough.
9pm move to Coyote Bar & Grill (114-120 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai). There will be a Mexican band and we’ll have access to the upstairs restaurant bar, again there will be some discounted drinks/freebies for us.
1am - Whatever happens next….
Wiggsy then wants to go dancing and end up somewhere for breakfast, although this is hopelessly optimistic.
Also, our Inspector Morse has been e-mailing a number of people to try and find out what’s been planned. He’s now beginning to panic…let’s keep it that way.
Viva Mexico!
What great organisation. So look out for the Mexicans out and about in HK on Saturday.
Where is Acapulco?
Where did Bob Beamon break the world long jump record?
Who national side did Hugo Sanchez play for?
The dirty sanchez? Rather vulgar.
