OK, so I’m here. I discovered the world of blogging about 5 days ago. Was totally hooked. It’s amazing what people find and what they say about things. Decided I needed to be involved, mainly to keep everyone updated on what I’m doing and thinking, to link the interesting things I and others find, and also for something to while away the hours. So here it is, my primeval blog.

I had no idea what blogging was, never had a site hosted, never heard of Movable Type, never written anything of significance (not that this is or ever will be), never been involved. I had done a bit of HTML before, but none of these fancy style sheet things. So I set out to find out. Studied a few other blogs, spoke to nic, who was kind enough to answer all my newbie questions, got a domain, got it hosted and then spent most of today reading the docs and getting this set up. At the moment it’s just the default template, but hopefully will get around to designing my own someday soon, but tomorrow I’m off on my travels again, for a week, so it will have to wait.
